Starlight Cardiovascular is a pioneering medical device company that is developing therapies for babies born with Congenital Heart Disease. Congenital Heart Disease is the most prevalent birth defect and is responsible for more deaths each year than all childhood cancers combined. Many of these babies need multiple procedures within their first few years of life to survive. However, the tools being used to treat these heart defects are designed for adults, and physicians are forced to manage with what they have or modify devices on the fly, which can lead to increased re-interventions or morbidity. Pediatric devices are urgently needed.
